The submission center displays all MDSs in the status of Zip Ready, or beyond. In the submission center users can create zip files, upload CMS final Validation Reports, and set MDSs to accepted or rejected.
MDS Submission Center Column Headers:
•ID – Identification number of the MDS. This numbers is automatically assigned upon MDS creation.
•Full Name-Residents full name as indicated on the MDS.
•A0410A- Unit Certification or Licensure Designation:
- Code 1- Unit is neither Medicare nor Medicaid certified and MDS data is not required by the State
- Code 2- Unit is neither Medicare nor Medicaid certified but MDS data is required by the State
- Code 3- Unit is Medicare and/or Medicaid certified
•Target date-This date represents one of the following: admission date for entry record, discharge date for discharge, ARD for all other assessments.
•Resident Status – Indicates active or discharged resident.
•MDS Status – Indicates where MDS is in process. Select one status to filter the MDSs. Use the drop down box in this column to highlight one status. Window will then show only those MDSs.
•XML File- name of the file created by MDS Intelligence when completing the act of creating a zip file. Each MDS has a unique XML file name.
•Warnings/Errors- Number of errors/warnings returned by CMS.
•RUGs Recalculation- Indicates if CMS recalculated the RUGs after submission.
•Submission File name of the zip file created by MDS Intelligence when completing the act of creating a zip file. There can be many MDSs in one zip file.
•Date Created- The date that the zip file was created
•Date Submitted- The date that the MDS was submitted/transmitted to CMS.
