How to Set Assessments to Accepted

Once the MDS has a CMS Pending status, it can then be moved to Accepted or Rejected depending on CMS notification. To set an assessment to accepted status:

1. Access Work with MDS Assessments, and click on the MDS card that is in CMS Pending status. This will take you to the Submission Center, or select the Submission Center tab.

2. Select Set assessments to Accepted located on the left Common Task. This will filter all of the MDSs that can be accepted.

3. Check the checkbox in the first column for each MDS Assessment to be accepted.

4. Click Continue.

Once the status is changed to Accepted, the MDS will drop off the MDS Assessments browse window. Accepted MDS are available through the Resident History Tab.
