To print the Care Area Assessments:
1. From the CAA screen, select the print icon from the toolbar.
2. The MDS CAA Print Request screen pops up. Set the Report Type in order to determine how the information is displayed on the page.
a. Summary only – This report type displays the narrative documentation entered in the Care Plan Decision text boxes.
b. Summary with only triggered conditions – This report type displays each care area that has been triggered. It includes the factors selected in the check boxes and the summary documentation.
c. Summary with all conditions – This report type displays all care areas, whether or not they have been triggered. It includes the factors selected in the check boxes and the summary documentation.
3. Select the Print button at the bottom of the screen.
Please note: The Adobe PDF Reader must be enabled in order for the CAA Report preview window to display. To verify this add-on is enabled within Internet Explorer, complete the following steps:
a. Select the Tools icon
b. Select Manage add-ons
c. Show all add-ons
d. Verify the Adobe PDF Reader add-on is enabled
4. A preview of the CAA Report Type appears as a PDF document. Select the print icon on the toolbar.
5.Set any additional printing attributes and print to your standard printer by selecting the Print button.
