MDS Assessment Browse Window Column Headings and Filters

The MDS Assessment Browse window includes column headers to allow for filtering of assessments that appear in the window. The column filters include data entry fields and drop down boxes. Data entry fields allow for character specific searches to query information. For example, to find the MDS for Mr. Williams, enter “Wil” in the Full Name search box and the list of MDS will be filtered to display any last name that begins with “Wil”.

MDS Assessments Column Header

ID – Identification number of the MDS. This numbers is automatically assigned upon MDS creation

Full Name-Residents full name as indicated on the MDS

Target date

• Admission date for entry record

• Discharge date for discharge

• ARD for all other assessments

Resident Status – Indicates active or discharged resident.

MDS Status – Indicates where MDS is in process. Select one status to filter the MDSs. Use the drop down box in this column to highlight one status. Window will then show only those MDSs

A0310B Indicates the reasons for assessment. If not an OBRA assessment, nothing will

Z0500 Due Date – Based on target date, this is the date the MDS needs to be submitted to CMS

WC – Indicates number of working copies that exist for the assessment. An ‘*’ indicates user has a working copy. Use the mouse to hover over the number to display which users have working copies.

Record type – Reflects the response in A0050. If A0050 = 1, this column is blank. Only reflects responses other than A0050 = 1

Admit Date – Date of resident admission

Facility Name-Facility setup name as indicated in the application

Room-Resident’s room number
