Daily Clinical Management Configuration

The Daily Clinical Management Configuration window is located under Common Tasks in Facility Maintenance.

Effective Dates -

State- Select the state where your facility is located.

State Identifier - Enter your facility's state identifier code. The State and State Identifier are used to validate that the MDS files you are receiving are for your facility.

Rule Tab - Highlight rule and double click to edit or view details.

Rule Details

Active: Rule is active if checkbox is marked.

Effective Date: Effective date of this rule. Individual rule effective dates may be changed to later than the facility effective date. However, the facility effective date will take precedence over an individual rule effective date.

Source: Utilized on the MDS Analysis screen, sources include: MDS to MDS, MDS to CareTracker, CareTracker to CareTracker.

Type: Utilized on the MDS Analysis Flags screen, rule types include: Data Accuracy, Opportunity, Alert, and Communication.

Severity: Selections on this drop down list include: "Clinical," "Investigate" and "Must Fix." These groupings are utilized on the MDS Analysis screen.

Resolution Mode: Selections on this drop down list include: "User Resolved," "Data Resolved," and "User Resolved with Future Option."

ADL Opportunity Tab

For each ADL Index Opportunity Rule, select the number of index points away from next RUG before the selected rule will trigger.

Therapy Opportunity Tab

 

For each Therapy Opportunity rule, select the number of minutes away from next Rehab RUG before the selected rule will trigger.

CBSA RateTab :

The CBSA Effective Date is the date the rate changes according to CMS, but not to be confused with the DCM effective dates. Select either Rural or Urban. Then, select the drop down choice for the CBSA group.

Click “APPLY” and the rates will be adjusted as of the effective date for the CBSA setting selected.
